U need shade on urself too. Long bike ride while sunny is cause skins cancer.

If you can avoid a zipper on your traveling gear...avoid it!!! Thats what everybody has to learn the hard way. I ones lost my zipper on my top part of my fully loaded Backpack and had real bad time after that carry a quarter of my stuff in my bag of my sleepingbag.

Did you have any winds that picked up or pushed to one side w the solar module? I did a ride across Japan last year on a Pelso Brevet recumbent, and at one point along the coast felt as if I were sailing on a broad reach with a very stiff wind over my left shoulder. I was leaning way left to keep the bike upright. Cannot imagine how it would have handled with a solar module on top!

Mmmh I see very limited potential to cut the chain stays with the chain itself. I don't like it.

How hard is it to ride in a cross wind? How do you stay upright when the drag causes tilt, creating even more drag from the solar panel? Amazing kit since obviously it works!

I'm thinking of saving for a while a doing a full gin build. I like the little things they make that can make a huge difference. I wonder do they still make hookworm tires, there good. actually the Maxxis Velocita EXO would be good if they make it in your size, Maxxis is affordable, but they make some great tires.

This is a great concept! I wonder how much more efficient a tandem can be, as it has the same front cross section but twice the human and solar power. Tradeoff is weight, but it seems more effective to me who has no idea about the whole thing.

this solar panels are so ugly and dangerus they should be forbbiden.

you could even flywith that solar wing as a kite wing. also a v-roof and/or bifacial solar panels. how about flat low profile version of the bicycle. yep wheel fork forward and backward, not up. you are already going kite plane flying speed, on ground.

What a fun review and debrief after being hundreds of km apart the entire race. And great to see Kilians particular kind of quirkyness work so well in a Jack Butler video too. Your wild tandem ride up that bumpy backroad gives us a glimpse of what the captain/stoker relationship is like, you gotta hold on and trust the 19 year old, or else... ; )
